Management Potential of Control Information on Corporate Finance
Author: Vladimir N. Zhukov, Cand. Sc. (Econ.), Associate Professor of Accounting Dept., Plekhanov Russian University of Economics

Abstract. Management of corporate finances in an unstable economic environment places high demands on the quality of resources providing it, including information. Under these conditions the particular attention is paid to control information and management potential which is not fully examined yet. Contemporary studies devoted to the problems of internal financial control and functioning of information systems either ignore the fact of existence of control information or make little account of it. Underestimating this kind of information resource is equivalent to diminishing the control function itself. In the paper the author developed a methodology to supply corporate finance management process with control information which encompasses four stages: discovering principles behind formation and circulation of control information; identifying users of control information and establishing their information needs; building a system of controlled indicators; and determining the content of control information.
