Monitoring of Social Well­Being of Employees of Industrial Enterprises

Abstract. The article presents the results of the monitoring of employees’ social well­being in one of the major Russian industrial enterprises. During 3 years the authors were conducting the sociological survey by interviewing the staff. The questionnaire offered to the respondents consisted of the questions designed to assess the state of different elements of social and labour sphere of the enterprise, including the changes that have occurred over the past year. Dynamics of the results of the annual staff survey not only reflects the current trends, but also allows us to identify the most problematic areas in the intra­organizational environment, that negatively affect the workers welfare. The use of the toolkit of the monitoring of employees’ social well­being facilitates gaining accurate information on satisfaction and loyalty of the personnel. The data can be applied when developing HR policy of an organization for the period of an economic crisis.
