Topical Economic Aspects of Standardization in the Russian Federation

Abstract:

The article discusses some aspects of business efficiency from the point of view of its interaction with the technical legislation. Standards are tools for integration of science and technology achievements into the production processes. The demand for standardization is dependent on the degree of complexity and research intensity of products. Standards contain requirements for consumer properties of products and services, i.e. their quality. Representing the quality management parameters, they influence the processes of production, encourage the development of an organization and enhance its competitiveness. Activities on regulating the issues of products quality are associated with the necessity to increase both the competitiveness of a particular enterprise and the efficiency of economy as a whole. Standardization contributes to the growth of gross domestic product in various sectors of economy.
