Distinctive Features of Controlling 1PL-Providers on the Basis of the Concept of Integrity

Abstract:

The paper is devoted to the development of the methods and toolkit for managing elements of logistic space. The concept of integrity of an enterprise is regarded as an important controllable function parameter that determines a competence- based and technological uniqueness of the enterprise. It is assumed that the basic notions, methodological approaches and tools of the concept of integrity can be also applied to the processes of formation and management of the objects of logistic space. Of many logistics providers (1PL÷4PL), the article investigates the issues of integrity management of a manufacturing enterprise in the form of 1PL-provider. A model of the integrity system of a manufacturer within the major elements and factors is proposed. The basic nature of a manufacturing enterprise’s logistic structure as first party logistics is revealed, and its distinctive features are scrutinized. The meaning of integrity principles in relation to a manufacturing enterprise and its specifics as an object of economic assessment are clarified. The generalized indices of integrity assessment of a 1PL manufacturing enterprise are provided, and the content of integrity management tasks is revealed.
