Abstract:

At the moment there is a lack of national studies on efficiency of volunteer organizations in Russia. The available information is fragmented, what makes it difficult to compare data according to period and region. Despite the existing practice of volunteer organizations’ assessment, it is hard to talk about standardized evaluation forms. The organizers of volunteer organizations often do not pay enough attention to this problem. The authors emphasize the necessity to analyse activities of volunteer centres and arrive at the conclusions on their efficiency. Such an assessment will help get an idea about principal aspects of organization of the volunteer movement. The article provides the authors' assessment technique based on the results of an integrated monitoring of volunteer organizations’ activities in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
