Abstract: The authors analyse the key trends in innovative economy development in Russia and Ukraine. The levels of technological development in both countries are characterized, the conditions determining the directions and nature of Russian­Ukrainian scientific­technological and economic interrelations are defined. The authors give reasons for the necessity of deeper innovative­investment cooperation between Russia and Ukraine and offer several directions of its future functional development.
