Lag Effect as a Property of Economic Development of Cities in a Traditional Industrial Region

Abstract: In the article the approaches to the problem of lag effect are generalised. The lag effect’s characteristics of cities economic structure in a traditional industrial region are identified and studied. The factors that influence the lag effect of economic development of cities in a traditional industrial region are determined. The authors justify the algorithm for analysing the extent of lag effect of such cities’ economic structure.
