The Influence of Customs Authorities on Development of Regional Logistic System

Abstract: The article indicates the positive trend in extension of the range of logistic services in the foreign economic activities of legal entities and in the movement of goods and vehicles across the customs border. The paper explores the issues of interaction of customs authorities, transportation organizations and government bodies in issuing permits, establishing the competence of customs authorities to declare certain types of goods, creating divisions for international mail products, formulating policy on commercial vehicles. The article phrases the recommendations on creation of transportation and logistics system complying with international trends and including multimodal container transportation as well as complex regional logistic centres.
