Innovative activity of industrial enterprises in Sverdlovsk oblast is studied; innovation potential of the region’s development in recent years is evaluated. The authors provide the key data that is especially important for Federal State Statistics Service, develop and propose a new version of the Form No. 5Innovation. Some recommendation to improve statistical recording are given, and the necessity to introduce the new statistical Form No. 5Innovation is justified.
