The Integrated A-S-G Model as an Evolution Stage of Innovation Processes Management Systems at an Industrial Enterprise

Abstract:

The paper explores the possibility to apply the integrated Agile-Stage-Gate model of innovation processes management at Russian industrial enterprises. It discusses the so-called hybrid Agile-Stage-Gate model by Cooper, Vedsmand and Kielgast, identifies its place in the evolution of the methods of innovation processes management and examines the possibility to utilize it at Russian industrial enterprises. The methodological base of the research is modern concepts of innovation management. The information base includes publications of Russian and foreign scholars and specialists in the sphere of developing the models of innovation processes management, federal laws and state standards. In the course of the research, the authors use the following methods: the logical method of generalizing information, the method of graphic modelling and the method of comparison. In the article, we analyse the chronology and evolution stages in creating the innovation process models and discover a discrepancy between the sequence of stages and the chronological order; determine the place of the A-S-G model in the evolution of the models of innovation processes management; and unveil benefits and limitations of applying the A-S-G model at Russian industrial enterprises.
