Abstract: In the article the necessity for further advancement and implementation of macroregional model of the real technological development in Russian economy is justified. It is proved that the model has advantages over the global monetarism model that is widely known in the West and creates more opportunities to ensure the transition to a new type of rational, intelligent consumption, in which the material needs are replaced with the need for innovations and creative work. Particular attention is paid to the institutional changes relating to settingup of integrated companies and strengthening the role of the state.
