Abstract:

The paper aims to examine a set of conditions and factors that contribute to the formation and development of intellectual capital. Having analyzed vocational competences and in-demand knowledge, the authors came to the conclusion that in order to guarantee specialists to be competitive in the labour market, appropriate measures are to be taken during university training. The influence of intellectual environment on intellectual capital growth of a graduate is investigated. The article deals with the components of the educational process, such as occupational standards, contemporary teaching methods, effective organization of students’ individual work according to the level of their knowledge and active cooperation with employers at the stage of specialists training. The authors argue that the theory of situational leadership can be widely used in the process of specialists training to develop their leadership qualities. Integrated application of these measures will increase intellectual capital of university graduates.
