Abstract:

The article addresses contemporary issues related to evaluating the impact of corporate training programs on improving labour efficiency. The approaches to efficiency are built upon the findings of the relevant scientists and the conceptual ideas proposed herein for the development of Saint Petersburg baking industry on the basis of the principles of entrepreneurial culture. The impact of staff development practices in the format of a strategy session, which was organized for the employees of the member companies of the Saint Petersburg Bakers Association, on labour efficiency was evaluated using the method proposed by Honeywell. The Healing Power of Bread program was presented as a systemically important project for the industry-specific entrepreneurial culture focused on rethinking the staff development concept. The authors proposed the coefficients of strategic development and learning efficiency as a supplement to Honeywell’s method and justified application of these coefficients at companies using new methodological approaches. The efficiency and duration of creative changes (quality/price ratio) in the performance of trained employees determine the feasibility of training programs and the novelty of learning materials.
