Abstract:

The study is devoted to the factor analysis of the employer-employee relationship. The authors examined such factors as collective bargaining, recruitment, remuneration and communication. Working conditions served as the mediating variable between the given factors and the employeremployee relationship. The primary data were collected with the help of questionnaires distributed in four organizations of the public sector of Pakistan. To confirm the data validity, factor analysis was performed. All the models were proved to be significant. For exploring direct and mediation effects of the factors, the authors used hierarchical linear modelling. The findings of the research indicate that the abovementioned factors produce a significant positive effect on the employer-employee relationship. At that, working conditions serve as the mediating environment for building relationships between employers and employees. The results of the research are of interest to HR specialists and represent an additional source of information for studying the factors influencing the employer-employee relationship, using the case study of Pakistan.
